Vicki is a medical coder and biller for a New York Hospital. She helps patients sort through medical insurance issues and is a patient adovacate for the elderly who need administrative assistance. Her favorite season is the Fall and forest settings. I am studying for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Wellness. I hope to use my degree to continue in the medical administrative field and possibly branch out to teaching healing techniques beyond conventional Western methods to elderly patients in a nursing home setting or hospice care center.

The Girl and the Well of Anger

She was so angry she could not talk.  She could barley breathe.  All she could do was repeat the same angry conversation over and over again in her mind.  Like a recording stuck in replay blocking out all other thoughts.  She did not feel the wind on her back, the pain in her legs as she ran faster and faster into the woods.  Her heart beating in rhythm to each step faster and faster.

She was blinded by anger, and as she ran into the woods, she did not notice the deep well in the ground.  As she fell her anger momentarily ceased and fear took over.  But this did not last long and her anger once again intensified.

After several hours a man came along and heard her angry cries for help.  "Get me out of here".  He looked down at her as she looked up at him, and he replied, "I cannot do that".  "Why not" she replied.

"You have fallen deep into the well of anger.  In order to get out you  must do so yourself, however you will not be able to accomplish this until you let go of your anger and your mind is clear.  Only then will you figure a way out".

"It is your choice and the solution is there inside you whenever you are ready for it".

And he walked away.

Blindness is more than visual

  1. This is awesome Vicki, thank you for sharing. It is so true that sometimes when we get angry we cannot see anything other than our anger and until we let go of it will we see the light again.

  2. Thanks Tamara I post came when I was reading the Integral Health Text. Realizing how the mind not only alters the body state, but how the psychospiritual part of the person, can be stuck in a mental state that continues to create illness in all areas.

  3. Thanks for posting this piece Vicki. I remember my mom once told me, "when you find yourself in a hole--stop digging." I'll never forget that because at the time I was doing nothing to change what was going in my life. I think at that time I was the angry girl. I think it is amazing how we have so much power within us.
